This is it, as techno-savvy as we get. As we prepare to get married, actually do it, and then travel for a year you can be with us every step of the way. Isn't that lovely?

spring slowly coming

Seems that spring was early to show its first signs. We had tulips and hyacinths coming up in the yard starting in the third week of February. But it is only now, today, that the first of them open up and flower. The pear trees that i planted in november are leafing, while the cherries and plums are just now breaking their buds. The strawberries are already growing like mad.

We are in full preparation mode, getting ready for the wedding and travels. We are working on the house, trying to get it ready to leave for a year. The bathroom has been pulled apart and we need to put it back together again - new floor, paint, tile. Christine, who is working part time now, spends time putting together wedding details and researching visa requirements and regulations regarding driving in Central America. It is all coming up quickly, and there is much to do.

But this morning it was nice just to walk around the yard and watch the unhurried trees and flowers slowly coax themselves out of winter.
