Another weekend, another birthday, another delicious party...

On Saturday February 25th we had Robert Blake (www.sameroomrecords.com/robertblake/bio.html) over for a house show. This is the 4th year that Robert's played at our house and, as usual, it made for a fine evening of music-listening. Robert's song writing is great and seem to hit at the heart of our shared experience. Pulled together by his energetic playing style his songs are mesmerizing and we managed to get him to play three sets. At midnight, after Robert was done and when it officially became my birthday, part two of the evening commenced. Christine pulled together the "Miller High Life Olympics". We didn't get to bed until 3:30 AM. My favorite memory of the evening is running up Cedar Street at 1 am for the "Torch Run" with a can of Miller High Life in hand dressed in a skin tight one-piece unitard, followed by about 20 absolutely lunatic friends, all dressed in their best Olympic competition-wear. Christine put us through our paces with a number of different events and it remains a minor miracle that P.A.'s finest never showed up at our house, what with the commotion we caused.
