This is it, as techno-savvy as we get. As we prepare to get married, actually do it, and then travel for a year you can be with us every step of the way. Isn't that lovely?

Back in America

Sorry we left you hanging like that. thinking, no doubt, that we've been mouldering in paris like an old camembert, wrestling with surly french customer service representatives from various airlines and eating bad snacks out of our backpacks to stretch our last remaining euro. But that is not the case. We are, in fact, in the United States once more, land of cars and chaos, supersize servings and, er, "supersize" people, ridiculous trucks ("grabbing life by the horns indeed") and the land where missionaries sell explosives to fund their missionary trips. classic.

We are in Portland and haven't been able to write because we were offered and eagerly accepted (our depleted savings account offering strong incentive) 6 or so days of work at a rodeo about 30 minutes south of the city. We spent those days cooking yakisoba noodles (and heard a whole lot of things like, "serve me up a plate of them YAK-EEE-SOBY you got there" and caesar salads surrounded by carnival rides of a collection of the most classic outfits i've ever seen. A classic reintroduction to our native land.

But we are delighted to be back!
